Huge & Wonderful Original Antique Painted Dresser Base. This is a very fine, original example of a 19th century antique Lancashire dresser with a thick, sycamore top and buttery, original paint finish. A real statement piece for a country dining kitchen, the dresser base has a very shapely upstand with a run of six spice drawers, all have the period knob handles. The thick sycamore top is in super condition, a fabulous piece of timber. The dresser base has three drawers to each side with a single drawer to the middle over the central kennel. The kennel door has a twin panel, inside the kennel is a shaped pine shelf. All the drawers are finely dovetailed and all run smoothly. Even the sides of the dresser have been decorated with win panels that match the kennel door, a few more added features are the rounded corners and original bun feet. In excellent condition, inside and out. A very special, very large piece of English antique painted pine furniture, all original. Dates from around 1850.
