This is a wonderful rare pair of large, Late Georgian antique slip ware / redware birds that you can make coo / whistle. In amazingly good condition for their age. Once were part of a museum collection. They are both a good, large size with the glazed earthenware being in very good condition and a wondeful colour. They date from around 1800 - 1820 and are originally made and from Halifax, Yorkshire. They make a beautiful bird noise with the pottery whistles. Just one little bird has been glued back on, apart from that, they are in super condition.
