Fabulous Merryweather Antique Leather Fire Bucket

A superb mid 19th century English antique fire bucket made by Merryweather of London, the makers gilt lettering is underneath the bucket whilst the front is decorated with the owners initials, Matchams J L H. All leather which is well rivetted and all still in the original paint finish. A lovely example in very good condition. Perfect to use by the fireside, not for sand as origianlly intended, but to keep to hand firelighters, matches and kindling.
