Large Early 19th Century Antique Decalomania Vase

This is a rare survivor, in amazing un-damaged condition, a large scale earthenware antique vase with a rim top, faint handles to both sides and complete with the original green paint back ground then decorated with applied, paper images to the outer body. This style  is called, decalomania which is a decorative technique by which prints and engravings are transfered onto pottery and other materials. Now often shortened to Decal. Decalomania was invented in England around 1780, this large, decorative English antique decal vessel dates form the early 19th century around 1810-20 and features fabulous period images.
