Large 17th Century Period Oak Antique Coffer

Large 17th Century Period Oak Antique Coffer.
Originally from the Lake District region around 1680, this large impressive period oak coffer is in lovely condition and is a good colour.
Six plank in form, the slab top has a moulded edge on all four sides and is held in place by the original iron work hinges.
The slab ends are held together with large Blcksmith made iron nails.
The oak front has a twin line moulded decoration which runs across.
In very good, solid condition given its age.
