18th Century Antique Westmoreland Oak Press Cupboard
This lovely Georgian antique period oak cupboard is made in three sections, the lift off cornice, the main body, then the cabriole leg base. In superb, original condition throughout, this Westmoreland antique oak press cupboard features three raised and shaped panelled doors that have decorative mahogany crossbanding with ebony and box wood string inlays. Inside are all the original hanging pegs, this space could easily be shelved out if so desired. The panelled oak base has three drawers with a shaped apron beneath and lovely cabriole shaped legs. All a good period colour with a super patina and this 18th century antique oak cupboard is complete with the wonderful, original blacksmith made iron butterfly hinges. English, from the old region of Westmoreland and dating from aroung 1770.
