The Robert Thompson workshops were commissioned to make a wide range of furniture for Ampleforth Abbey, the monks quarters and the boys school.
This oak chest of drawers was made for use in the monks sleeping quarters.
In excellent condition, complete with the original, well turned handles.
All the drawers run smoothly.
A very good quality, oak chest of drawers by Robert Thompson for Ampleforth Abbey.
