Massive Mouseman Oak Library Bookcase – Two Available!

Massive Mouseman Oak Library Bookcase – Two Available!

We have available two of these amazing, huge scale solid oak Mouseman adzed library bookcases. They were made by Mouseman of Kilburn, Yorkshire for one of England’s most important Lutyens country houses in the early 2000’s. They are complete with solid oak tongue and groove backboards, one image shows the backboards, very easy to assemble as each bookcase knocks apart with through tenon joints and wedges. To the upper part of these Mouseman bookcases are fixed oak shelves, all the shelving below the iron ladder rail are fully adjustable in height on oak pegs. To the lower part are eight wonderful quality oak cupboard doors, all having the original iron work hinges, locks and latches. In such fabulous condition, both these massive Mouseman library bookcases are identical in size and design, one has the trademark fat mouse high up on one edge and the other the rarer, inset trademark mouse to a lower corner. They are both a lovely pale and even oak colour with lightly adzed surfaces. A real one off bespoke made Mouseman library bookcase with solid oak backboards, would have cost well over 50K when made. The oak timbers used are amazing quality, very thick and with four very long single pieces that make up the structure of the bookcases. Both have the original metal lights to be fitted. They could easily be adapted to fit into a project. These are very, very large, just fabulous. Two Mouseman oak library bookcases available, priced individually.
