A superb high quality solid walnut English antique open armchair by the Sheffield cabinet maker F J Mercer around 1850-60. A very good example and an ample, comfortable size, this English antique armchair has an upholstered back, seat and arms that are a lovely shape and the armchair stands well on equally shapely legs. In excellent condition, all very strong and complete with the makers paper label underneath.
